Site Utilities
Our utility division specializes in sanitary sewer, water main, and storm sewer systems for new and rehabilitation construction. We provide utility systems for residential, commercial, and rural use. Mies Construction was founded as a utility company, and our expertise along with our proven track record makes us a highly respected industry leader.
Earthwork
In 2005, Mies Construction expanded its abilities and opened our earthwork division. We specialize in all site preparation and earthwork activities including, but not limited to, mass excavation, demolition, clearing and grubbing, mass grading, drainage, and compaction. We perform chemical stabilization of subgrade material for building pads and pavement subgrade. We also import and place base rock for pavement subgrade while simultaneously fine grading and backfilling streets for paving contractors.
Concrete
The concrete division was added to Mies Construction in 2011 and has provided us the opportunity to offer a more complete, turn-key package to our customers. We have experience in pre-cast or cast-in-place box culverts, weir walls, retaining walls, stone-block bridge walls, and RCB cast-in-place wing walls and the portfolio to prove it.
